Wholesome Weekend Away

Well, what can i say? What a fabulous weekend I’ve had with my daughter. We’ve had a wonderfully wholesome weekend of fun, food and just being together.

It’s a tradition that we started last August. I decided to book us a trip, so i could take Emily away over the school holidays. I did feel a little bad, because i was working so much over the summer, so we booked a trip away…just us.

We’ve decided to make it an annual trip and to make it a tradition…just Emily and myself, hanging out, having fun and making memories.

We walked along the beach, made social media content, drank bubble tea (Emilys favourite), ate ice cream, had fish and chips, rode on the big wheel, spent way too much in the shops along the pier, took a LLandudno to Conwy bus tour

We just had quality time together, just “being”…chatting, laughing, I would tell stories of times when mum and I did cool things together and took time out to just “be”. It was such a spiritual weekend too. I’m pretty sure mum was with us on this trip, lots of signs were all around me and I just took each one into my heart as they appeared and went with the flow. Llandudno is a very Victorian looking town, with all the fabulous hotels along the promenade…which was mums favourite era…so to pick Llandudno as our annual trip destination is quite fitting and mum loved Llandudno.

Sitting having coffee in our room while Emily slept, looking out to the bay, I couldn’t wait to book next years trip…so i did! So we’re off again next year…back to Llandudno, different hotel this time, as we like to mix it up…will we always go to Llandudno? Who knows? But no matter where we end up, as long as we’re together, that’s all that matters.
